In summer, we serve delicious grilled dishes at our restaurant, Mönch’s Shack—daily from 12 pm to 5 pm. In the evening, we offer a homemade three-course menu; please reserve this in advance. Our cuisine combines Swiss tradition with European influences—seasonal, fresh, and prepared with love. Whether on the terrace with mountain views, at the bar, or by the fireplace: dining and drinking here is relaxed and pure enjoyment.

Schwarz Mönch is our very own beer, brewed right here in Gimmelwald. From 2018 to 2020, it was awarded the title of the world’s best dark beer. Just like our hotel, it stands for what matters to us: authenticity, craftsmanship, and a deep connection to this place.
The Honesty Shop is Europe’s first village store based entirely on trust. Our little shop operates completely without staff, cameras, or a cash register—you simply take what you need and put the money in the box.
